IDEA Mental Health Funding
Source of Funds
The Federal Government provides for educationally related mental health ("ERMHS") funding. CDE uses the term "Special Ed: IDEA Mental Health Average Daily Attendance (ADA) Allocation, Part B, Sec 611".
Effective 2023-24, CDE calculates this funding based upon each unit of average daily attendance for the prior fiscal year as of the second principal apportionment. Learn more about the source of these funds here.
Funding Allocation
Effective 2023-24, the Member LEA receives the funds directly from CDE through a Grant Award Notice ("GAN"). Member LEAs must sign the GAN and submit directly to CDE.
